Richard Burant Chief Executive Officer
Rick Burant is the chief executive officer of Aither Systems, a manufacturer of advanced energy microgrid solutions. The company employs a unique team of people from all aspects of the manufacturing and software industries, specializing in telecommunications, advanced energy generation and high-density energy storage.
Rick has extensive expertise in a wide array of strategic, business and finance across several industries as a result of his executive, management and operational experience. Rick is known for his ability to incorporate design innovation by combining artificial Intelligence and machine learning algorithms to automate the energy decision making process for the financial benefit of his customers.
Prior to Aither Systems, Rick held senior level positions at Altergy Systems, eLutions and Engage Networks, global high tech energy services providers to the telecom and energy services industries.
Rick began his career in the automotive industry where he rose to general manager. During his 23 years in the industry, he held a number of operating roles and led multiple business units, including finance, sales, parts and service. He owned and operated Green Bay and Wausau Motorsports, where he served as President and CEO and was nominated and a finalist for Merrill Lynch & Fortune Magazine “Entrepreneur of the Year” for best turn around company along with receiving recognition as Motorsports Dealer of the Year.
Rick also serves as the Vice President of MSF Data Services, Inc., a software company that collects utility grade energy data and meters the electricity for telecom and solar companies, utilities, residential, co-ops and municipalities.
Kirk Bult Chief Operating Officer
Kirk Bult drives Aither Systems’ corporate vision and strategy through the development and oversight of operational objectives and initiatives to achieve the organization’s short- and long-term financial and mission-critical goals.
Before joining Aither Systems, he served as Executive Vice President of Product Management for ConcealFab Corporation, where he oversaw the design, development, and manufacturing of the company’s global product line. Prior to his time at ConcealFab, Kirk served as Director of Operations for Ericsson, Inc., where he led its North America Site Solutions product development and testing lab and five regional centers of excellence, including Tower Climber, Field Installation, Commissioning, and Break/Fix Technical Training Centers.
In addition to his Product Development background, Kirk has extensive Mobile Network Operations experience, having worked nearly 20 years in various corporate RAN (radio access network) engineering and regional network operations leadership positions.
Kirk is a military veteran, having served in the US Navy from 1989-1994, where he attended C.S.T.S.C. (combat systems training schools command), earning his electrical engineering, advanced electronics, data systems, and communications systems technical training and certifications.
James Conigliaro Chief Technology Officer
James Conigliaro oversees the development and operation of Aither Systems’ computing technology solutions. Committed to delivering solutions that provide customers with the information they need to ensure energy availability, he oversees the teams responsible for the design, development, and operation of complex computing systems that deliver data and control capability to manage and distribute energy systems.
James has a long and accomplished history leading technology teams in energy, insurance, e-commerce, and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining Aither Systems, he served as an executive in the media industry, overseeing digital technology and analytics for more than 100 newspaper, television, radio, and digital media properties across the United States.
Having spent more than a decade teaching computer engineering at the university level, James couples his technical leadership experience with his academic experience to lead his teams to efficiently deliver high quality solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.
